Fast crosscut saws

The saws on this page are ideal if you need a saw solely for cutting timber quickly across the grain, as they have 14 or fewer TPI (teeth per inch). If you have never used a Japanese saw before, however, you will be astonished at how smooth a cut edge is left by even fast-cut saws like these. The convex blade of this saw keeps more teeth in contact with the workpiece for greater efficiency.
